OHHH Sarah, love the idea of the chalkboard paint over the cook top. Would eliminate the walking back and forth between the kitchen and dining room to look at the laptop or the wet splotched up cookbooks! My kitchen is so dark already (tho the granny smith apple green tremendously brightens it up.) Hmmm something painted with the chalkboard paint that I could scrawl on again and again …
I love our chalk wall in the dining room, and so do the teenagers that wander in with our kids and consume our food. Of the examples you posted, the refrigerator stopped me in my tracks!
We have this huge empty wall in our kitchen and I have been toying with the idea of creating a chalkboard wall for months. This post makes me want to bite the bullet and DO IT!

You should have called this post 'Chalk that Chalk' :) my favourite is the 3rd one down… ceiling to floor chalk board and it doesnt look out of place. very cool!!
