Murphy’s Carpet

So, what happens when you buy beautiful, brand new light-colored carpet?

That’s right.  Your spunky dog, Colby “Like The Cheese” Troublemaker, gets into the trash and decides that KETCHUP is the perfect accent color for your new white/pale gray/beige guest bedroom decor.

I’ll let that sink in for a minute… and then give you some good news.

This. Stuff. Is. Awesome.

Scott and I discovered this fantastic carpet cleaner several years ago when Colby (still a puppy) chewed apart a Sharpie and yellow highlighter in Scott’s old apartment.  Believe it or not, the highlighter stained worse.

If there’s a pattern here, I don’t see it.

We hadn’t even attempted to get the stain out of Scott’s old apartment carpet for months because we were sure that it was a futile effort.  But, this spray cleaner was able to get out both the deep black and bright yellow stains with equal effectiveness.  And it worked so well, Scott got his entire deposit back.

And while stain removal is the best part, it’s got other great features.  It’s non-toxic, non-magnetic (spot doesn’t reappear), non-flammable, odor-free, and doesn’t even require rinsing or vacuuming before you see the stain disappear.  All you have to do is spray the spot, work it in with your finger (it will appear to get a little sudsy), and blot it up – you don’t even need the paper towel to be wet.  It’s even 100% guaranteed, and you can use up nearly the entire bottle and return it to the manufacturer and get your money back.

I know I’m crushing on this cleaner enough to sound like I’m being paid to endorse it (ha! I wish), but when you find something that works, you let others know!

Fast forward to Ketchup Katasrophe.  Old reliable has worked once again, and there’s not a trace of red in the guest bedroom.

Phew!

I've heard you can even find it at Wal-Mart. Some friends of ours use it and I don't know why we never ran out and bought some for ourselves after our son threw spaghetti on their floor…

Great to see that you found a product that works! i am always a bit skeptical of these products . . . that’s why when my puppy had a little accident on the carpet I quickly got a towel to suck it out and then added a little bit of water and used another towel . . . problem solved :)
