PICKING PAINT COLORS, "MY BEST KEPT SECRET"

UGLY DUCKLING HOUSE

Soooo many paint color choices 😳 How do you find the perfect one?

So many color swatches and they can all look really similar.  How do you narrow it down to find the exact right color you're looking for?

I'm going to share my favorite nerdy tip for picking paint color that saves me tons of of time and ends the paint sampling cycle! Encycolorpedia!

On it's face, Encycolorpedia is pretty simple to use.  It's great for hexcodes, but you can also TYPE IN PAINT COLORS!

Typically I search online, write down some recommendations, search for images in real homes, narrow down the list, and get samples.

No more!  Encycolorpedia will give you all the details on the color and even a list of brands with similar colors.

It’s got a section for increasing saturation, decreasing, lightening, darkening, and more. I can keep going in any direction, and then find the closest paint color to match, of any brand.

Want to see a full monochromatic scale, such as if you’re thinking about a gradient? Or find complementary colors? Or the exact opposite on the color wheel? It can do all of those things too!

Keep from running back to the store for the 4th time 😳 and try it out.  Picking paint colors with my "best kept secret" has saved me a ton of time and indecision.
