MAKE THE CUTS
Cut the plywood and scrap 2X4s. I liked the diagonal pattern, so I cut the 2X4s at a 45 degree angle.

Use a strong wood glue and a set of bar clamps to attach the 2×4 pieces to the plywood.

Sand the table top using first 80 grit, then 180, then 240. You can also use a router to round the edges like I did
