I’ll be saving this page ultimately for the before and after of the biggest room in the first floor of the house — the living room — but since there isn’t a whole lot to show quite yet other than a handful of “before” photos, I thought it best not to break down the rest of each room until the makeovers start happening. As it stands today, my overall thoughts are that I cannot WAIT to start updating. The house has the most gorgeous moulding I’ve ever seen, huge fireplaces, 100 year old floors, some original wavy glass, tin ceiling in the kitchen, and much more. The paint colors, window treatments, etc. don’t yet reflect our family, but because of the great historical features, modern furniture and decor will add a nice balance (to me, too much vintage makes a space feel like a museum, so let’s go for it and get creative!).
