Cross Stitch Patterns Library

Since November 1st 2018, I’ve had a lot of fun creating my own cross stitch patterns and adding them to this library. For several years, I would release one new free pattern per month for a limited time and then move them over to my Etsy shop. These patterns can help you create original pieces for nurseries, weddings, birthdays, or just a gallery wall on a Tuesday!

But as it tends to happen to everything, time passes, and old methods need to be updated. I did monthly releases for nearly half a decade, but at a certain amount of volume, it became far easier to manage and maintain all new pattern releases on Etsy exclusively. As of 2026, new patterns will publish to Etsy as inspiration strikes… often in themed collections and based on the data of successful patterns (such as houseplants, sea animals, etc.). If you’d like to be in the know about new releases, you can sign up for my email list or follow the shop and turn on notifications in your Etsy profile.

Thank you so much for your support on these patterns. My hope is for people to simply enjoy when I share the patterns I’d like to do (at some point when I invent a way to freeze time and do all the patterns I’ve ever been inspired to complete, I will probably pick one from archives and attempt myself). If you complete one of my patterns and would like to share photos, I would LOVE to see them (full disclosure, since some of my patterns are not ones I personally have stitched in person, I may ask your permission to use them in updated posts about the patterns so that people can see real examples other than my crappy photoshop skills).

A note: When I started making my patterns, AI did not exist (at least, not in a way I would have known about). However, I have no doubt that someone will mention it, pointing to some of my crappy digital mockups. While I do use a plotting software (sliiiightly more advanced than the one I first started with), the patterns are not created with AI. It’s me, an iPad, and plotting things in a grid software. As for the digital mockups: I’m an elder millennial with lazy Photoshop skills and I make them to give an idea of what they look like on a fabric hoop. I photographed a bunch of blank flatlays back in 2018 to mock patterns on top, and I think I did the same thing again with a Christmas theme in 2019. It’s possible at this point that AI could mock up a better image than I do, but the pattern requires too much attention to detail to not be done by hand, correcting and streamlining colors to give you a good stitching experience. I base it on my own preferences as a cross stitcher who learned from her grandmother. New tech can be a tool, but it does not replace the parts that must be done by a person who actually stitches. So: no, my patterns are not AI. It’s far simpler, just my crappy digital mockup skills. If at any point you do one of my patterns and want to show off the end result, I’d love to add your real image on the pattern page to show a real life example compared to the pattern.
