ROAD TRIP ahead!

This time of year, I start to feel the squeeze: trying to fit all the things I want to do, things I want to finish, things I need to do before next year, things that make good memories with friends and family…

Even though it’s true I have the same amount of hours in the day as Beyoncé, I’d still argue that I need twice the coffee. Because folks: I’ve been busy! Here are just a few sneak peeks (I have around 5 simultaneous projects, many are sponsored/coordinated with other bloggers so they have specific publish dates, and none of them are done enough to reveal yet, and the new saw I just bought for one project came completely busted straight out of the box… it’s been quite a week.)

This weekend, I’ll be busy hard at work again. It should be fun though, since I’m heading up to North Carolina to visit two bloggers I adore (and we share the same crass sense of humor… or they at least tolerate mine)…

We’re mostly going just to visit (when you meet great folks through blogging, they sometimes become incredible pals you wish you could see more often, only it’s hard since we all have crazy build schedules these days), but I’m also making a point of it to get to work on Brittany’s flip. If you haven’t seen all about it yet, check out her posts on Saving Etta.

Short version is, she’s got an investment property and is totally kicking ass at this whole renovator thing. I want to be her (and Nicole Curtis) when I grow up (I say that about people regardless of age, so please don’t interpret that weird… also, call her “Gene Wilder” if you ever see Brittany in person. It’s lame to even explain why, but it will make her laugh hysterically).

I hope I take lots of pics of what (if anything) we get done during our visit, but regardless, you’ll see posts about it on my social channels as we do our thing. I just hope I don’t leave her with a bigger mess than she started.

What are you working on this weekend? Oh, and pretty soon, I’m going to start posting some DIY ornament ideas and other holiday projects (those two sneak peeks above are actually some woodworking ideas that fall right into that category). The first will probably go up mid-November (I know, it’s not Christmas yet, but I want to get these to you early so you can do them before the holidays are over if you wanted to). I hope you enjoy ’em!
