The current state of living room would make Kate Gosselin faint.

Thanks to the high heat and humidity of recent Georgia weather, I’m doing a few projects indoors to prevent the frusration of peeling/cracking/chipping paint.

Instead of working on the floors like we originally planned this week, the fireplace setback has forced us to shift gears. We’re still being productive… just in another room.

Some of these doors are getting a little more dressed up than the white semi-gloss makeovers you see here, but at some point, they all need to be done. At this rate of four doors at a time (properly sanded and primed, of course), I should be done by the next presidential election.

I suppose I could add a few more keg-horses (sometimes Scott’s occupation comes in handy) to get the door painting done faster, but we look like a nearly condemned frat house as it is. But, this is the last step before I can reveal our newly painted guest bedroom, so stay tuned!
