Clean Sheet Day. Is there anything better?

This weekend, I didn’t work on any projects. MBA orientation took up most of my Saturday, so I spent Sunday doing a much-needed cleanup of the house from top to bottom. Or at least new sheets, several loads of laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc.

With the holidays approaching, and then the start of school, it’s going to be really tough to get everything done. It will be a lot to handle, but a good first step is to de-clutter and begin with a clean slate.

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to begin on my (very) over-the-top Christmas decorations. If you’ve been reading this blog long, I’m sure you know what I’m aiming for.

I’ve already been to the dollar store to pick up most of the supplies, but despite having two carts full, the store clerk still didn’t put all of the materials in a bag – which left me chucking each piece into my car individually, sometimes bouncing back out and spilling all over the parking lot.

While that was somewhat embarrassing, I finally managed to get them all home and into the garage. Up next will be to spray paint them all and prep them for decorating the house!

I’ve got five posts (possibly more) to share all of the decorating details with you, so be sure to stop by again soon. This will be a Christmas that I, my sister, (and the kids in the neighborhood) won’t forget!

Psst:  Okay, technically, I did actually start on a project today by spray priming six round pizza pans from the dollar store. More on what they were for (hint: not pizza) later!
