When you make your very own piece of furniture for the first time, you may hesitate to get it dirty for a few months.

But now, I’m changing that – my work desk is meant to be used!

Because the surface of these legs are cheap and glossy, it’s important to use a primer that is good and sticky – specifically, Cover Stain (oil based) Zinsser primer. The primer smells terrible, but it works. Just make sure you’ve got the kind of gorgeous spring weather that lets you keep the windows open.
