My house was actually clean for once.

My mom visited last week and decided to rearrange the furniture in my living room. Her thought was that the couch blocked the view into the dining room, thus preventing a natural visual flow when entering the house.

She’s absolutely right about that. But I was kind of doing it on purpose. The dining room won’t be too hard to redo once I begin on it (the main issue is the wallpaper), but for now, the couch served as an interim distraction (large beige block + colorful pillows = barrier to what’s behind said beige block).

This week has been kind of crazy, to be perfectly honest. The reason why Mom was over and taking it upon herself to rearrange all of the things in my house is mainly because I didn’t have time to do it myself, and I was expecting these guys:

film crew

I was joking about it last week on Facebook about it, but there really was a camera crew of six (!) people in my tiny house this week.

Facebook jokes

Crazy. I wish I could elaborate, but I won’t get to tell you much more until the people who own the footage do something with it (like edit it enough to make me look more like I know what I’m doing). But I can share some new makeup I discovered during filming:

shine eliminating makeup
Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder (to-go size), $16*

This stuff zaps shine like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Not kidding. Buying it as soon as I can take a trip to the mall and I plan to use it on game days when the humidity decides to go to war with my skin.

In other news, this weekend is the start of football season for me. Prepare for Twitter to get interesting on Saturdays (it’s amazing how you can still slur your speech online thanks to autocorrect, isn’t it?). Have a great weekend!

So exciting! Can't wait to see what's going on, and love the arrangement. I'm very shiny, so I appreciate your linkage.
