When I first saw this radio, I was immediately in love. As in, I immediately tried to come up with excuses to buy this for Scott so I could convince myself it wasn’t an entirely selfish purchase. Its Valentine’s Day soon, so that justifies a spontaneous $75 radio purchase, right?

Not exactly. Scott and I have agreed to buy each other gifts in a much smaller bill size. But look at my radio anyway. No, I didn’t buy it, as much as it hurt to walk away from it, but I still think of it as mine. At least, someday I hope it will be.

I have an old (read: not retro cool) clock radio on my side of the bed. Scott has a beat up old CD/clock that he only uses as a radio, and never as an alarm near the bed. He instead uses it to keep him company when he’s at his computer, working in the garage, or doing dishes. Which means I’m constantly finding a ratty, beat up old digital radio with red blinky lights showing 12:00 all over the house.

That’s where this sucker comes in. Apparently, the price tag is not only due to the drool-worthy design, but the sound quality is supposed to be amazing. It’s got great reviews so far, and you know how much I read reviews before testing products. Only this time, I’m still thinking to myself “Who cares? It’s adorable!”

What I love about it is the retro look… and some versions even come with an iPod dock. Ok, so I don’t actually have an iPod, which is another reason why I couldn’t justify purchasing this yet, but I would love LOVE to have this by my bed someday. So, it’s going on my “Loving…” wishlist on the right sidebar. I spoke of the convenience of having an online wish list before Christmas, and I love looking at it on the page every day along with my other dream items. It’s just a small reminder of where my money’s going when I have enough to spend it on anything other than bills.

What have you had your eye on lately? Do you like retro items, or are you more of a modern girl? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
