Last night when I got home from work (and Scott was at the Braves game), I had some energy, so…

I cleared out the craft room closet.

I still had some energy, so I figured I would remove the carpet and padding. Then I removed the tack strips and staples (see my carpet removal tutorial here). I still had some energy, so I painted the baseboard trim in the closet. Then I did a second coat.

I still had some energy, so I thought I’d take care of the unpainted bottom half exposed by the removal of the craft room carpet. Then I did a second coat.

Then, I did the same paint treatment in the upstairs hallway. And the linen closet. Cuz, well… you know :)

I then cleaned the bathroom and did a load of laundry (which I wound up forgetting was still in the washer… I hate when I do that!). Nothing picture-worthy here.

I did NOT go to the gym. For some reason, just didn’t have the energy ;)

  1. Haha, I really wish I could have bottled that energy to use in the future. I don't know what came over me! I wish I felt like that every night – this house would be done!

  2. Way to go, Sarah! It must be so satisfying to get a lot of little jobs out of the way. I notice the very neat and thorough job of the post-carpet clean up–also a necessary task. What was Scott's reaction?
Also, could you tell me what you are using to annotate your images? I am always on the lookout for a better tool than the one I have now.
Thanks! (And use some of the energy you have to give yourself a little break!)

  3. Ha ha! I've been in that kind of mood every once in awhile. It's amazing how productive you can be!

  4. Jan, if I understand your question correctly, you must be referring to the Paint.NET software I use to modify my images. It's pretty much the red-headed stepchild of Photoshop – and FREE! Go to this site for download instructions.

  5. Wow… you ARE the energizer bunny! LOL…
I wish I had your energy tonight, but I think I've caught a cold :(
    Great job!!!
