Who needs an iPod? Not me :)

Thanks to a weekend away with some friends this past winter, I have become hooked on Grooveshark, a site that is basically an ipod without needing an extra piece of expensive equipment that I can (unfortunately) accidentally drop-kick. At this point in the remodeling process, I’d rather spend my cash on light switches and ceiling fans.

All you need to do is go to the site and start typing in (if you’re like me) whichever song it is you can’t get out of your head. My latest favorite is “Haven’t Met You Yet” by Michael Bublé. It’s the perfect tune for these gorgeous sunny afternoons we’ve been having lately and distracts me from unpleasant tasks like caulking.

Like Pandora, you can create playlists and create a free account, but the part I like most (and differs from Pandora) is that it allows me to hear the exact song I’m wanting to listen to. Which is nice, considering that just because I like “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus doesn’t mean I want to hear the rest of the Disney Channel brood… nor do I want to walk over to my computer in between paint strokes and press “next” repeatedly.

Speaking of painting, the primary bedroom is very close to being finished. This evening, we will attempt the last coat of paint and hang the new 2″ faux wood blinds so that we can finally move back into the primary bedroom and out of the guest room… Scott hates the mattress in there and he’s cranky :)
