Scott and I both went overboard on each other this Christmas.
But that face? Totally worth it.
What I didn’t realize at the time was the ridiculous mess I would come home to this week thanks to my gift. Scott painstakingly spent hours (and hours) putting his new surround sound together.

And when I saw this:

I couldn’t help but wonder what I’d gotten myself into.

For now, we’ve got wires all over the living room, but Scott thinks he’s come up with a “brilliant” plan to hide them all. Stay tuned to see if he’s right!

  1. When I got Chase his, we went through the same thing. Almost like “if you can hear the TV, you can't see the cords!”. It took him SEVERAL months, but he finally ran the cords along baseboards, under carpet and it looks much better. Not childproof yet, but much better.

    I wish you luck!

  2. Oh my. We had the same issue trying to get speakers in the back of our skinny-but-small basement. We ended up running wires along the air duct through the walls and ceiling, and it was a HUGE pain in the butt – but hey – no wires! :) I can't wait to see what you guys do! (hopefully you have an easier time of it than we did!)

  3. What are yall talking about, it looks great the way it is…

I got it working, I'm going on break!

  4. haha! My husband would do the exact same thing which is why it's still not connected since our move 3 years ago. Hoping that when the time comes, I can convince him to do wireless! ;) At least Scott isn't refusing to part with HUGE 1980s speakers as well. ugh.

Can't wait to see the solution!
