“Hey, have you seen that extreme couponing show?”

I must have been asked that at least four times in the last week. According to well, everyone – saving money is the new black. And the hottest way to save these days seems to be with coupons. I must admit I’m quite intrigued of the idea of getting something for free just because I bought ten of them and have a little piece of paper that says I can. But, I still can’t seem to muster up much more than a vague interest when it comes to the idea of getting 25 yogurts for free. I mean, it’s not that I don’t like yogurt. But the effort of searching for these coupons and actually shopping during the week they’re valid? Psh. I guess that’s why the manufacturers can afford to hand out these coupons like they do – girls like me will still forget to use them in time, will leave them in the wrong purse, or accidentally go to Kroger when I should have gone to Publix.

What really makes my purse happy – the savings that I smile about – is when I save a bundle on appliances. On clothes. On shoes. And get free shipping. Which is why I’d like to introduce you to the Ugly Duckling House’s newest sponsor, Coupon Craze!

Coupon Craze doesn’t appear to be a run-of-the-mill coupon site. In fact, you may be surprised to know what I find is the most interesting part:  the layout. I know, it doesn’t sound like much – but hear me out. As a blogger, I can’t tell you how many times per week I find my way to a new blog or website and cringe at my inability to easily use or even read what I was, at first, really interested in looking at. I won’t pretend that my own site is the gold standard, but I do know how irritating it is to find a “discount’ or “great deals” site only to discover the endless hoops I must go through to get the deal. I usually wind up quitting when I realize I have to provide my email address, zip code, phone number, blood sample, and a list of meds I’m allergic to. And this, my friends, is how Coupon Craze is different. There are no hoops!

To me, the way I would describe the site is as if they took the most desirable qualities of standard coupon sites, members-only-limited-time-offer sites, and discount travel websites, and mashed them together in an easy-to-use format that doesn’t require endless registering. For example, you can search for a store that you shop at all the time (Target, anyone?). When you see a coupon or deal that you think you might want to take advantage of, just click on the orange button. The site automatically copies the code to your clipboard and automatically redirects you to the site to use the code! It’s easy enough that even impatient want-to-get-the-deal-but-put-forth-zero-effort girls like me can be satisfied.

But okay, so I’m being sponsored for this post. And it’s understood that I probably wouldn’t openly slam a site if I’m accepting a few bucks to say something that I like about them. So before I start to sound far too endorsey (made up word alert – I guess that’s going into the glossary), let’s get down to what I know you’ll really be interested in.

Coupon Craze has teamed up with Murals Your Way to provide Facebook users with a chance to win a $200 credit on MuralsYourWay.com through their “Dress up your Wall” contest. All you have to do is like their Facebook page, upload the photo of the room you want to enter, and shamelessly beg your friends to vote for you (tip:  if you want my vote, I prefer Mexican food over chocolate – just saying). The most votes gets the big W, and the $200 bucks! How’s that for easy?

The contest is going on now through the end of April – which is only a week, so you’d better start getting your friends’ mouses moving! Click on the image above to get started, and good luck!
