The old chalk board in the entryway was looking a little tired. This area isn’t going to be upgraded for quite some time (it’s too far down on the priority list), but a little new wall decor never hurt anything!

I found this great wood panel on a recent trip to Garden Ridge (the one with the scary number of pillows).

It looks small by itself on the wall, but I’d eventually like to repaint this nook, maybe add a small entryway table, and tack on a few hooks (since I’m always misplacing my keys!). I have my eye especially on a table like this gravity-defying one from Gus Modern, but in all likelihood, the wallet will lead me down a DIY path.

I love the intricate details of the panel. I may even paint it something more brightly colored at some point, but for now, the dark wood tone is perfectly fine.

Have you made any little updates lately?
