While I cannot wait for spending our first Christmas in the new house, I am holding back on the wreaths and stockings until after Thanksgiving (though, I’ll admit, it’s really hard!). So, after taking down the Halloween decorations, I added a few harvest decorations to get the house fall ready.
Homegoods has struck again! I snagged this pretty decorative fall plate for only $15:
Don’t forget that fall decor can easily come on the cheap. Take these small pumpkins and acorn squash. $6 at the grocery store, and our living room is ready for Thanksgiving. Plus, these “sweet” pumpkins are perfect for making pies.
I have a few more decorating ideas in mind, but by the time I’ll get around to making them, it will be time to put up the Christmas decor (it’s tradition in my family to do it right after we finish shopping on Black Friday). So, I guess instead, I’ll get a head start on making my Christmas wreath – hey, it’s hard enough to wait for Friday!
I also need to be tethered- I'm having so much trouble waiting for Friday!
It's been killing me, too – all this having to wait until after Thanksgiving for the Christmas decor! I'm ready to bust out the tree and lights and Christmas music right now! :)
And I'm so envious that you have a HomeGoods. Very envious. :)

Love that iridescent plate..
I think 'Homegoods' which I'm guessing is a store, must be like 'HomeSense' and 'Winners' up here.
Love the holey plate the pumpkins are on too. Was that from there ??

Homegoods is a sister store of TJMaxx and Marshalls. And yes, that holy plate that the pumpkins are on is also from Homegoods!
In that case they are the same.. or at least owned by the same parent company. In the UK they're called T K Maxx and here in Canada Homesense or Winners.
How did the party go ??
Really great! We had a fantastic time and everyone loved the house. We still have so much work ahead of us though, we may do the same fall party every year to show people how far we've come.
