I spent part of my weekend raking in the front yard. While that’s not picture-worthy, I couldn’t help but notice how pretty the changing leaves are.

Colby decided to get in on the raking action and collect the sticks in the yard.

While I more or less made a big mess.

But, no worries… this will all make for excellent firewood.

That’s right, we are getting our fire pit soon! We got started this weekend and I’ll share more pics as we make more progress. Did you get a jumpstart on your fall projects like we did? Tell me all about it.

  1. We sure did. Instead of raking this year, we got a leaf blower that also acts like a vacuum – blow the leaves into a pile, and vacuum them up – and you're done. Tom had lots of fun playing in the yard with the new toy this weekend. :)

Those leaves are gorgeous! I think Fall might be my favorite season because the leaves change. Growing up in Florida where the leaves are always green really makes me appreciate all 4 seasons. :)
