Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. I visited a close friend in Athens, GA, watched the game, then got back home on Sunday with a to-do list that kept me buzzing around the house for several hours. I still managed to get a few pictures from the weekend and my short visit. Isn’t the expecting couple (and their front porch) adorable?

It’s shocking to me how fast November is moving by. As I was running a few errands last night, I noticed several apartment complexes and stores that were already decorated for the holiday season. While I love that it’s approaching, I’m still a big fan of keeping Christmas in December where it belongs.

In the next few weeks, I’ll be hard at work preparing the house for my own holiday decor and doing some early shopping. And speaking of, I can’t WAIT for the usual family Black Friday traditions. This year, we’ll probably be starting at midnight and hit a late breakfast when we’re done. How about you?

As it stands now, the house reeks of spray paint, wood stain, and sawdust (with a hint of laundry detergent, because life must still go on among the mess). But rest assured, I’ve got you covered through December with some very exciting Christmas ideas. I’m so excited about it, and I can’t wait to see my sister’s face when it’s all done (it was her inspired idea that led me to the decor scheme).

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, and later this week I’ll give you another post like I did last year about the things I’m thankful for. I hope you’ll join me and leave a comment or two with your own thankful lists. Have a good one!
