The mums have long since died off from last fall, so I thought that the mailbox could use a little spring in its step while the rest of the lawn was being tended to by the menfolk.

All it took was a small bunch of pink petunias, and my mailbox is updated for spring.

At least, that is, until the neghborhood dogs get to it.

Can’t blame a girl for trying, right?

  1. We're right there with you replacing dead growth with new. Fortunately, petunias are not bacon flavored, so your bed should be safe.
