Lately, to-do lists mean very little to me. At any given point, I have about 10 different projects I’d like to work on. And since I have far more than 10 projects floating around in my head every day, the 10-item list is in a constant state of flux. So, even though these items will likely change tomorrow, I thought it might be helpful to me (motivation-wise) to list out some of the easier projects I think I can tackle this month. Which of course, is likely to change at any given second.

Front entryway improvements:

-paint the back of the front door black
-paint slab (thanks to all of you who weighed in – I’m going with gray)
-find a fixer-upper chair for the corner and spray it with a cheerful color to go with the new exterior look

Bathroom progress:

-finish paint in the bathroom (hit a bit of a snag on this the first time around, but I think I’ve worked it out – more on this soon)
-install vanity
-put up shower curtain
-re-do bike art (sadly this project did not stand the test of time, so I’m coming up with a new plan involving thinner boards)
-re-install baseboards

Study-o progress:

-finish the office chair
-buy storage for the craft room

What are your goals for October? Are you tackling them by room, or is your list a hodgepodge like mine?

  1. Hi, my name is Debbie and I am a lurker that has read your blog from start to finish. LOL
I love your house and reading about all your projects!
I own a 104 year old one story american foursquare with a huge wrap around porch… and that's what I'll be working on for awhile. I only have weekends as I babysit my 4 year grand-daughter every week night.
It seems that every project I start, takes way longer then I invisioned!

  2. Hi Sarah – beautiful blog you have here! Looks like you've got lot's on the go too. I'm sure your projects will turn out great – I had a look at your house tour and you're doing a fabulous job in there!
