As in, Oy. Do I really HAVE to put it all away?

That fallen J might be an accident, but I think it’s pretty appropriate when it dawns on you that what went up must come down.

And now I have to pack it all away again and climb up to the attic once more. Thank goodness for the wise decision earlier this year to create a plywood surface for storage up there!

For those looking at the same daunting task over the weekend, here’s a small tip:  when packing glittery flat items (like the letters falling off my mirror, for example), sandwich them together so that the non-glittered sides face outward. This keeps shedding of glitter flakes to a minimum (and if they fall off of one, they just fall on to the other for the most part, and not on the rest of your decor).

But one thing that I won’t be needing to put away is a single casualty of my four poinsettias that I used for the fireplace decor. It’s an improvement from killing all of them from last year, but it’s still a loss.

Of 98 cents. I think I’ll survive (tee hee).
