I feel like a champ. I have managed to not kill my plants for an entire season.
My garden is still intact, and even more plants are growing in (tulips that I didn’t realize were there last spring since only one grew). Even though I felt a bit like a moron for not finding the bulbs when we dug up the original garden last fall, I’m choosing to focus on the whole not a plant killer thing.
The cabbage are even growing these beautiful little flowers (there seems to be a yellow theme going on around the house, eh?), which I didn’t even realize was what happened in the spring. In case you haven’t grasped by now, I’ve still got a lot to learn about gardening. Apparently it’s more than dig hole. insert seed. cover with more dirt. water.
The little flowers made for a fantastic impromptu point-and-shoot camera lesson. Otherwise known as “Hmm, what does this button do?” Here are some of the better shots. Happy Friday, everyone!
