Lists.
I’m always going to make ’em.

But despite how tech savvy I can be sometimes, I still prefer the pen and paper kind when it comes to list making. They are more satisfying to cross off.

They are also easier to lose. (Originally, I’d actually typed “use” instead of “lose” there without realizing it. Usefulness is a positive thing. But I gotta be honest; I’m the girl who spends at least 15 extra minutes in a store because I put my list down somewhere.)

Anyway, here is my list for the weekend:

…yeah, it’s a picture of my list. You didn’t think I’d be a total hypocrite and write it out on the computer after I just spoke about how I stick to pen and paper, did you? Well, you’d be right. For those of you who can’t read what that says:

  • paintbrush for trim
  • wood for entry table
  • laundry
  • dog
  • pay auto insurance
  • write MBA essays

Much like my writing, I’m inconsistent with verb tenses on my lists. Sometimes I don’t even use them, like “Pick up paintbrush for trim” or “Do laundry” or “Eat dog”.

Kidding on that last one. I’m not going to eat Charlie (or any other dog for that matter). But I am going to take her to the park. And give her a bath. Okay, so wait:

  • paintbrush for trim
  • wood for entry table
  • laundry
  • dog park
  • dog bath
  • pay auto insurance
  • write MBA essays

There. Complete.

Freebie puppy shot. Her ear is starting to go back the other way now. I may not have a weirdy-eared dog after all. And yes, that’s a paint stick that she turned into a chew stick. Go fig, it’s Charlie the home improvement pup.

Wishing you a pleasant and productive weekend.

  1. I too do lists AND on pen/pencil & paper. Everyday I create my lists. One for my desk at work and the other for personal to-do's. Two peas in a pod? :)
