This new cross stitch pattern feels SO appropriate for how I feel lately: just not today! This easy sloth cross stitch pattern features a sleepy sloth relaxing on a tree branch and a general sentiment that we can wait for tomorrow to tackle that to-do list. :)
If you’ve been following my monthly patterns for any length of time, then you would probably see that this one is a little unique: it actually has a phrase to pair with the image instead of the image alone (I usually leave the punny phrases up to you!). But this one simply felt right and needed a little something extra on the bottom part of the fabric beneath the sloth. NOT TODAY. Just, let’s take a breather, get a little relaxation, and put the to-do list away. Yeah?
Recently, I also created a simple beginner guide for how to cross stitch. I’m calling it my “quick start guide” since I plan to create a longer video course that goes into greater detail. If you’re a beginning stitcher or never have before but wanted to give it a try, you can begin with easy-to-follow instructions right here and give it a shot.
Now, onto this month’s pattern! Since we’re heading into the holidays, I wanted to mention that it would make a super cute gift for your favorite crafter (either finished and framed or created as an unfinished cross stitch kit with needle, thread, cloth, and an embroidery hoop all packaged neatly together with this pattern included in a card).

P.S. I’m also working hard to release several new patterns as part of my membership launch! If you like my patterns the same way I do as I make them, you’re going to go nuts for these new ones (I’m genuinely so excited to share these because I haven’t seen many of the ones I’ve got on my to-do list Much like the donut patterns, botanical line art, and leaf series, I’ll likely release one pattern of the set for free, and then the rest will be available as part of my membership program when that launches. <sigh> yet another thing I’m trying to get launched! (Gee, I really come up with lots of ideas when I spend all day with a baby and don’t have as much time for actual execution, eh?)
Note: Free cross stitch patterns are available for a limited time only based on publish date (right now for about 2 years). They are then moved into the Membership Vault and accessible to Cross Stitch Club Members only as a way to facilitate keeping the blog archive low-maintenance. New patterns continue to come out every month to enjoy!
